Position: Director of Business Development

The position involves all aspects of business development, emphasizing proposal development for large government bids. Responsibilities include:
  • Develop business development strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Plan proposal strategy, tactics, schedule; review/edit narrative for content clarity, compliance, and key messages; write and edit resumes, project descriptions, and management plans.
  • Prepare and develop presentation materials with technical staff for interviews.
  • Meet schedules; ensure the various aspects of proposals, presentations and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of GES' markets, clients, capabilities, staff and competitors to support the development of pursuit strategies.
  • Represent GES at related A/E/C events.
  • Develop additional project pursuit support materials such as brochures, presentations, awards submissions, etc.
  • Travel to local areas to prospect clients and generate new business leads.
  • Track business development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, current database of industry contacts.

    The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing/Business Development.
    • Previous experience in an engineering firm is strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, engineering or architecture.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Position: Marketing/Business Development Coordinator

We are looking for a highly motivated marketing coordinator to add to our team.
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with targeted clients and industry representatives.
    • Networking and participating in industry organizations.
    • Researching markets, clients and projects.
    • Proposal development, including SF 330s, SF 254/255s and Virginia A-E Forms.
    • Planning, writing, editing and producing other marketing-related documents such as qualification statements, promotional pieces, resumes and project descriptions.
    • Updating and maintaining databases.
    • Developing and participating in interviews.

      The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
      • B.S. in Marketing, or related field.
      • 2 to 10 years of experience.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Position: Proposal Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated Proposal Manager to add to our team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Experience writing winning proposals for engineering, architecture or construction management.
  • Managing proposal schedule, often coordinating multiple efforts simultaneously.
  • Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and expense analyses. Prepare reports for executive management and project managers ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with marketing coordinators,
  • Oversee, coordinate, input from engineering staff as well as writing and research staff.
  • Proven production and quality control skills in the proposal process.
  • Experience in managing creative group efforts.
